I debated between this and the DeWalt and decided to go with the Kobalt. This was after reading good and bad reviews and decided that, after sorting the wheat from the chaff, it was a good option. The saw is solid. One thing that you need to do with every miter saw after unboxing is check the fence. Using a flat square I saw that it was off, so I adjusted it, locked it down and she’s held after doing a fair amount of trim work with it. If you’re buying this for heavy commercial work, I would consider something in the next price bracket, but for a do-it-yourself homeowner (thats me) or handy man it is something you’ll be able to rely on.
