HOME-FLEX Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing or CSST is great for installation of gas appliances. CSST easily snakes into attic and basements areas, around corners and bends, and through walls. Much easier to work than steel pipe, uses fewer fittings, and weighs a lot less too. Certification through manufacturer is recommended before installing CSST.

• CSST is generally for indoor use; however, it can be used outdoors and/or underground with very specific parameters. Please see the HomeFlex Design & Installation Manual on this site and/or at homeflex.com for details. If considering an outside underground installation, we suggest you check out Home Flex UNDERGROUND products.
• CSST tubing operating pressure: 25psi (max 125psi). Operating temperature range: -20f to +200f. Stainless steel melting temperature: 2400f.
• HOME-FLEX Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing (CSST) flexible gas piping material must be installed by a qualified installer who has been certified in the use of the HOME-FLEX gas piping system. Certification can be completed by reading the System Design and Installation Manual and registering with Valencia Pipe Company to obtain a qualified installer card. Register at homeflex.com; “Get Certified” option.
• Some areas of the United States do not allow installation of CSST for fuel gas piping systems. It is the installer’s responsibility to check and understand all codes governing the location of installation prior to installing HOME-FLEX CSST.
