I purchased the 20 Volt Max XR compact kit two weeks ago for heavy duty daily use. I was worried about the reciprocating saw not being able to handle the abuse it was about to endure on the job site. To my surprise for it being soo compact it has turned out to be a very heavy duty dependable tool. I also bought the Milwaukee FUEL line combo kit for my foreman at the same time. We put Dewalt and Milwaukee tools to the test. Dewalt is by far superior, the Flex 60 volt batteries last longer than the similar Fuel battery and the Dewalt tools hold up and are much more compact than Milwaukees. The new Milwaukee SDS max hammer drill doesn’t even have a chance competing with Dewalts Brushless 60 Volt Max counterpart. In general Dewalts new XR line up are made for daily heavy abuse, there isn’t another tool line up that compares. Will add a few pictures of my arsenal of Dewalt tools in my company truck I use daily for credibility. Don’t loose time and money go Dewalt!

My Dewalt 20volt MAX XR cordless saw has been running 3-4 hrs. per day, twelve days straight, trimming and cutting down large Agave in my landscaping. Some of these plants were 8ft. tall, and lethal. Heavy pants, boots, gloves and safety glasses! The saw did it’s work easily. The 5 amp/hrs. battery never ran out of juice! I would cut for 3-4hrs. then load the debris in a 3yd. dumpster, and call it a day! I never had to stop cutting because the battery needed a recharge. Very intuitive tool to use. I like that the battery installs in a snap, and that blade changes are so easy. This saw is designed to be light and manuverable. Because of this, you could use it single handedly. Maintain awareness of both hands. I remove the battery before changing blades or carrying the saw in one hand. No different safety considerations than other saws. This Dewalt saw saved me $400.00 labor on this Agave project. I just started taking down a dead pepper tree. The Dewalt cut down all the branches and most of the trunk. I need a chainsaw to complete cutting off the stump.
