Uponor F1040750R AquaPEX 3/4 in. x 100 ft. White PEX-A Expansion Pipe
Uponor AquaPEX White is a PEX-a pipe designed for use in hot, cold, and hot-water recirculation potable-water distribution systems. The pipe has the highest chlorine resistance rating of ‘5’ and offers 1-month of UV resistance. It can also be used in hydronic or radiant heating and cooling applications, however, because the pipe does not have an oxygen-diffusion barrier, it is only appropriate in systems that contain no ferrous corrodible components or where any ferrous components are isolated from the pipe. The PEX-a manufacturing method provides exceptional flexibility, strength, and durability, allowing a bend radius of 6X the pipe diameter to help eliminate unnecessary connections with each change in direction. Also, the pipe elasticity allows it to expand up to 3X its diameter and then shrink back down. This provides exceptional resiliency in freeze/thaw conditions. Note that no piping system is completely freeze proof, but PEX-a provides greater resiliency compared to rigid piping systems. Uponor PEX-a pipe is designed for use with Uponor ProPEX fittings, which require the use of a ProPEX expansion tool and ProPEX rings (sold separately).
- Pex-a manufacturing for superior flexibility, strength, and durability
- 100 ft. length coil to help eliminate unnecessary connections
- Designed for use with f1960 expansion connections that allow higher flow and maximum system performance
- Thermal elasticity allows pipe to expand up to 3x the diameter for greater resilience in freezing conditions
- Most flexible with a bend radius of 6x the pipe diameter
- Kink repairable with a simple shot of heat from a heat gun
- Resists corrosion, pitting, and scale buildup
- Primarily designed for use in domestic hot and cold water and hot-water recirculation systems
- No oxygen barrier on pipe so ferrous components in hydronic or radiant heating and cooling systems must be isolated
- Manufactured and listed to ASTM f876 and f877 and certified to NSF standards 14 and 61
- Hydrostatic ratings of 200°F at 80 psi, 180°F at 100 psi, and 73.4°F at 160 psi; operating conditions should not exceed 140°F at 80 psi
- Compatible with PEX expansion, compression, clamp, crimp, press, and push-to-connect fitting systems
- ProPEX expansion connections require use of ProPEX expansion tool and ProPEX rings (sold separately)
