I am thrilled with this tiller. I live in upstate South Carolina where the soil is hard clay. I was attempting to dig up an area to install additional landscaping using a pick and a shovel. My wife saw my struggle and recommended I purchase a tiller. I researched a number of brands and decided on the Ryobi. It was a great decision. This machine is awesome and ate up the clay. I was able to prepare a 3 foot wide 18-inch deep area in much less time and with much less effort. In addition, it easily tilled the soil amendments into the bed.
