Andreas Aristidou –
This table saw is a replacement for my over 10 years old Ryobi. I have found some good improvements on this new one. The rip fence is much more stable than the older one, allowing you to get a great straight cut. There is a riving knife and a dust chute which were not available on the old one. The motor stops much quicker because there is an electric brake which make this saw a bit safer. The Blade Guard, Rip Fence, Miter Gauge and Push Stick all have a storage place on the unit. The manual said that you can use a Dado set with this saw which I couldn’t on my old unit. The leg stand was simple to put together, but I liked the stability of the metal stand my older Ryobi came with. Because I have a smallish workshop, I will probably make a custom wooden stand with locking wheels so I can move it where I need it. I do miss having two Miter Gauge slots. There is only one on the right side of the table. I will be making a cross cut sled to fit the slot because the supplied Miter Gauge is a little sloppy in the slot. The blade that is supplied with the saw is for rough cuts (24 blades). I suggest replacing this blade with a general purpose one such as a 40 blade. All in all, I like this table saw. I typically do frames for paintings, small wooden boxes for storing things and outdoor items like birdhouses, plant holders and such. This table saw is for light to medium woodworking and is great for someone who is starting out in the craft. I would encourage the new user to thoroughly read the Operator’s Manual
