Easy to set up. I combined it with the Dustopper to keep my work shop cleaner. Works great!

Purchased this to replace an old craftsman shop vac that has treated me well over the years. This is my first Rigid power tool however I’ve used them in the past for work. The warranty program and the stainless steel is what really drew me to choosing this model. I plan to use it as my CNC vacuum once it’s up and running but for now it’s just used for miscellaneous cleanups around the garage. I still need to make a cyclone dust separator to get the most out of the filter. It’s been able to pick up any wood/metal projects I’ve thrown at it so far. I can’t speak to cleaning up liquids since I don’t plan on ever using it for that. The packaging of this unit is really well designed. You shouldn’t have any concerns ordering this online and I really wouldn’t expect any shipping damage to occur from drops/bumps along the way. The attachments that come with it are pretty standard. The fittings all work as expected,, there is enough variation to meet most of your needs. The hose is a great size for basic use but if it sits in any mounted position you might want to grab some extensions. I wouldn’t recommend removing the lid clasps from the steel drum and if you do make sure to use a MANUAL screw driver and not a drill. The screw bosses on them are really only designed for a few installations and removals and can be easy to strip out however that is pretty standard for thread cutting plastic screws. The plastic parts on this are really well designed, I tend to take most of the things I buy apart for design inspiration. As an engineer I know we sometimes scan websites for feedback so props to whoever designed these parts if you are looking at this. We will see how this holds up but I’m pretty impressed so far. If I had to make a decision about it now, I would buy it again and recommend to family/friends.

I purchased this vac based on it’s foot print. It isn’t bulky like so may other vacs are. So far both of them have preformed very well.

I really love this shop vac. It is just the right size. Not to big and not to small. I have an older 16 gallon 6.5hp shop vac and this little gem out preforms it. It fits just perfect in the miter saw station I built. I have it connected with the miter saw so it turns on when I start the saw and will remain running for 7 seconds after the saw stops. This vac is worth every penny you pay.

The RIGID 10 gallon, 6 HP Stainless Wet Dry Vacuum is a good vacuum. The 6.0 HP motor is very strong. Adding Dustopper to protect the filter. Works great.

I bought this vacuum after considerable research for my shop. I combined it with a cyclone and a 20 foot extension of hose to create full shop coverage. Works exceedingly well and I’d recommend to anyone looking for a powerful wet/dry vacuum! Doesn’t hurt that it looks sharp too!

My dad was a tradesman and as long as I can remember, his pipe tools were Ridgid. As a kid, I always thought how they were really substantial but simple tools that didn’t require an instruction manual to operate. That kind of philosophy carries over to this vac. It is simple. There are no bells and whistles here. You get a basic, lightweight tank with a powerful motor and a few tools. Like those wrenches of old, it is substantial. The hose is large, the motor is powerful, the cord is long. No baloney. Sure, read the instructions, but you really don’t need them. Assembling is obvious, operating is simple. The motor and tool is made by Emerson Electric (I believe the holding corp for the brand), which has a good reputation for quality motor driven products. I presume this one will last. There are a few things I like: – a cord hold on the top handle. NICE! So many of these miss a place to wrap your cord. – An exhaust hole that allows you to insert the hose to create a mild blower, if you want. Or maybe just to blow out the dust from the hose or perhaps help dry it. – Handy tool holders built into the caster fenders Things that could use a little work: – The friction fit of some of the tools is a bit spotty. Tight and loose. I suspect this will break in with usage.

This 10 Gal. 6.0 Peak HP Stainless Wet Dry Vac by Ridgid is a really nice little unit. It has a very small footprint being only 20 1/2 inches deep by 19 inches high and 19 inches wide. Making this a lot smaller then my other Ridgid shop vac but with just as much power and performance. The 6.0 peak horse power motor is very powerful. I do a lot of woodworking and this little guy let me get a lot of sawdust that likes to hide in spaces on my table saw even though I could not get t the 2 1/2 inch vacuum hose closer than a few inches from the dust’s hiding spaces. The vacuum hose is 7 foot long and the standard 2 1/2 inch in diameter. The hose is very easy to connect or disconnect with a positive locking connection. There was a couple of times the shop vac wanted to tip over when being moved by pulling on the hose but overall this unit is very stable. This vacuum comes with a generous 15 foot power cord making for the use on an extension cord a very rare necessity. The shop vac comes with 2 wands, a utility nozzle, a wet nozzle and a crevice tool. The vac only weighs just under 24 pounds which makes easy to move or carry when needed to. The 6 horse power motor develops 140 CFM in air volume which gives it the strong sucking power. This unit uses a pleaded air filter which is very easy to remove for cleaning. It also has a very easy to remove cap on the front bottom to drain any water when using it as a wet vac. The power switch is very easy to see because of its bright red color. The assembly of the vacuum is very straight forward and quick. It just entails connecting the four push in casters and the bright orange handle. The power cord wraps around the handle for storage and all the other accessories attaches to the top of the casters.
