The end of the hose that connects to the vacuum is 1 7/8″, which means it will work with other vacuums if that is what your vacuum uses. I specifically have the DeWALT 4 gallon vacuum and it fit snugly into the vacuum without any modification. The attachment end is 1 1/4″ being reduced from the hose diameter of 1 7/8″ and can be screwed off to accept the DWV9000 Universal Connector for dust collection. Also, for the reviews stating that their hose broke…. it didn’t; just screw the end back on.
