It requires a 150 watt A19 bulb, 23 watt CFL or LED equivalent (not included), and is dimmable for desired illumination levels when used with dimmable bulb. The cord length adjusts up to 96 In. giving you flexibility in the height of the fixture. UL listing demonstrates this product has met minimum requirements of the widely accepted product safety standards.
