I just purchased and used this to drill 24 1″ x 15″ holes in a pool deck with cambridge pavers placed over compact sand and 4-6 inches of concrete. Exceeded all expectations. I am installing a loop loc pool safety cover and received a $2700 estimate from the pool contractor. With this tool, I got the job done for $1600. The owner’s manual says max bit should be 7/8 but it worked fine with the 1″ solid bit. Minimal binding and clutch worked great. Each hole took about 5 minutes and I took a 30 minute break after each 4 holes to allow the motor to cool as a larger much more expensive drill would be more indicated for such a job. Great drill, great performance and great price. Follow all directions, watch you tube, measure three times and drill between your pavers. If you need to drill through a paver, start the hole on drill only setting and then switch to hammer drilling.

We’ve had this for a year now. We just recently started a commercial job where we had to drill 120 6″ holes in the concrete slab and footings. It did them all no prob and is still going strong.
