I bought this Saw about a month ago and so far I’m loving it. It’s definitely a step up from using a hand saw and miter box. The 12″ blade may have been a bit over kill for my uses, but I wanted something that I could grow into as I became more experience with woodworking. My first project was to build a miter saw work stand that would fit on a couple of saw horses. Then I decided I wanted to place that on its on rolling cart so I could move it around the garage “shop” easier, so that was the immediate next project. This Saw had made my projects much easier to work on, and I’ve already completed some nice outdoor furniture pieces. The blade doesn’t appear to deflect any, makes cuts though 2×8’s easily in one chop. I have cut some 1×10’s and 1×12’s, I just had to flip the board over to finish the cuts. The angle is easy to set and has several positive stops on the most common angles used. The one thing that has caused me a little confusion is that the bolt securing the blade is reverse thread. One just had to watch that when switching blades so that they don’t over tighten and brake the bolt when they mean to be loosening it. Or, stand there trying to get the bolt started for several seconds by twisting the wrong way (guilty). Overall sends to be a good sturdy saw. Hopefully will last me for quite a while.

I had this saw in my old shop and l used it all the time. Moved and now in a new location and this was my first purchase to start woodworking again. Have the folding stand which makes a very stable combination.

Great solid saw, the quality you would expect from Dewalt. Handles all of my DIY jobs with easy. Out of the box it is ready to go, I was making cuts in just a few minutes. Folds neatly to fit in my garage, it is made well but light enough to move around if needed. Been accurate for my jobs, I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality saw at a great price.

As you might expect, any of this brand’s products deliver in quality and durability for the most part. This saw is no exception. It was bought to replace an aged and well used/abused similar model. The old one is being donated because it still works, but when you consider the price and need, updating your collection is a reality and it is nice to know that comparable products are still available.
