I got this heat gun two weeks back. I wanted to create some quality of life items with PVC pipe and needed to be able to bend it and mold it for my needs. My first task was to create some bag blockers for my bike rack. This heat gun excelled with this project. I do a lot of work on my roof (due to being in an apartment building in the city) and it was unbelievably convenient to bring this cordless heat gun with me. It’s light (even with a large battery) and there was no need to run an extension cord to do the work I needed to. Not to mention, it’s also just as powerful as all the corded heat guns I’ve tried! The nozzle attachments it comes with are also very useful. I ended up using both of them for this first project and they made the creation that much easier. I’d say the only downside is battery usage. Not a big enough concern for it to not be a 5-star review, but I highly recommend having a 5ah battery for any extended use. The smaller options will run out too quickly. A great buy and lives up to Dewalt’s reputation for quality!

So Dewalt came out with a cordless heat gun it’s about time, this is great for anyone in dewalt’s ever grow in 20v platform. I own a competitors cordless and a corded heat gun so I wasn’t sure if I pull the trigger on this tool, but let’s just say I’m glad I did DeWalt cordless heat gun has a quiet motor but puts out more heat than my other cordless heat gun, The first day I got it I actually used it on a service call for a plumbing job let’s just say after using it I will reach for this one over The other cordless I had on my truck. Dewalt didn’t just put out an identical tool With a different paint job they made it better. In the box you get a charger a five amp hour battery two heads and of course the gun.
