The CAT® DG231 18V Brushless 5” Cordless Pruning Saw uses advanced technology and design to enhance power and performance for a wide range of cutting and trimming tasks. Built with a High-Efficiency Brushless Motor, this cordless pruning saw delivers 25% more power, 50% longer run time, and 10X longer life than brushed-motor alternatives. Featuring an ultra-compact and lightweight design, this 4.1-lb. pruning saw is incredibly easy to maneuver and comfortable to carry. This enhanced portability makes the DG231 ideal for a variety of on-the-go cutting applications—such as bucking firewood at a campsite, clearing brush on a hunting trail, maintaining large properties, and much more. The 5” bar length is also sized to take on a several everyday cutting jobs—such as pruning and removing branches, delimbing felled trees, and quickly trimming shrubs. Automatic Chain Tensioning is made possible by a spring-loaded system that achieves the perfect tension for every cut—you never have to worry about making adjustments. The pruning saw’s Onboard Chain Lubrication capability also makes it easier to oil the chain so you can enjoy consistently smooth performance, prevent wear, and save time on maintenance. In addition to being more manageable than a standard-sized chainsaw, the 18V cordless pruning saw is optimized for safety. For example, the Retractable Bar and Chain Guard offers protection from the blade but remains easy to adjust during operation. When cutting from above, the retractable guard will automatically pull back. The guard can also be manually retracted to support undercutting. The saw also is equipped with a Guarded Handle Design to increase safety and security during operation. Power the pruning saw with any battery that’s part of the Cat® 1 For All platform—including the 2.0Ah Li-Ion, 4.0Ah Li-Ion, or 5.0Ah Graphene models. For optimal performance and run time, choose the 5.0Ah Graphene battery over lithium-ion options.
