Chlorine granules sanitize your pool by delivering the chlorine it needs to kill bacteria and prevent it from growing. The granules can be used as a pool shock when you need to clear cloudy water, kill algae, or remove contaminants after an event such as a pool party or bad weather. Pool granules can be used in all types of pools as long as the use directions on the package are followed. When using pool chlorine, please make sure you wear gloves and safety glasses per the instructions on the label.
