It filters up to 100,000 gallons of water (or lasts up to 12 months) and removes up to 99% of chlorine from water, as well as color, cloudiness, and various taste and odor compounds.

iSpring FCRC25B lead reducing water filter features a high capacity for lead. It is better than most KDF filters in the market in reducing lead if lead is the main contaminant in your water.

A: Yes, a water softener is needed if your source water has a high level of hardness, usually with TDS higher than 300 PPM. Hard water can reduce the lifespan of whole house water filter cartridges. The harder the water, the greater amount of scale buildup occurs, and the sooner the filters get clogged.
It is recommended that you install this WGB32B-PB whole home water filtration system after your water softener to achieve optimal performance if you have hard water.
